Wow! Thank you for sharing! Our two older children had a hard time learning to bike, having to concentrate both on learning to maneuvre the pedals and keep the speed high enough to keep balance at the same time. With our youngest we started with a bike that looks like a regular one, two wheels, but no pedals. There he learnt to keep balance and control speed by kicking with his feet on the ground - and steer. Then when we saw how he lifted his feet up and biked (at a rather high speed..) we knew he was ready to learn to pedal too. And it took but one afternoon. Now I am aware that he has a totally different background than Katya has! But I wanted to share our story anyway in case it might help. Now I guess Katya is too tall for that type of bike, but it might work to just remove the pedals and let her learn to balance and steer the bike, and then bring the pedals back. Or maybe just continue the way you do :-)!
Wow!!! God bless Cristhina!!!
Yay! I think Katya is on her way to riding on her own! (It would be so much easier on flat blacktop; but I think Katya will persevere and ride anyway)!CarolynPS Double yay for Kristina!Carolyn
I love how Big Sister bribes her with the treats! love!!
