What Would You Like To Know?

Some of you may have questions about our family, life with Katya etc. Feel free to ask them. I will likely answer them in the next post! I do reserve the right to choose not to answer a question if I don't feel it is in our family's best interests.

So ask away!

Hello Beautiful Family!

I have been reading your blog since just before Katya's arrival home and have been honored to pray for her, her doctors and your family over the past many months.

I want to thank you for sharing your journey with all of us who read your blog. It gives me courage for when things are bleak in my own world (or feel bleak)

I have a few questions and I hope you know you can answer any or none at all...

What is your family's faith background? I see that you wear headcoverings and was interested. My husband is a rabbi and I know the customs in judaism for head coverings and I thought I would ask.

I so appreciate your sharing your faith in God in your writing...once again, this buoys me.

Also, how did you raise all of the money you needed for your adoption? Did your church help? I bought one of Cherry's adorable bows...what other avenues of income generation did you pursue?

And finally, how long did you consider adoption?

Oh, and how long have you and Paul been married?

Looking forward to any of your answers!

To be quite honest, the questions I have all come from when you half-mention something in a post, in a way that makes me realize there's more to the story, though too private to share...which makes my questions impossible to ask :-) I love to read what you do share about your family though!

Thought for sure my kids would have questions about Katya, but no takers, so far. :) I have some personal ones that you may not want to answer in a public format. Just ignore if so. I know you embraced a gentle parenting philosophy at some point, which we mostly did when we realized we had some Aspergers traits to deal with and traditionally accepted discipline was NOT useful at all. SO if you care to share, what kind of consequences do you have for kid behavior? How do you motivate your kids for doing school? Our kids seem most like your Chad in personality :) Often loving and funny but pretty energetic and ummm, creative :)Thanks, Hope Anne. I ask because I love seeing what your consistent love and patience achieve in your family. Praise God!
