Plugging Onward!

After about 7 phone calls back and forth on the part of the SW, multiple emails between our Stateside helper and us, and many phone calls--or attempted phone calls--we FINALLY were able to talk to a real live person yesterday from the BCI office about the police clearance letters we need. With the information in hand of what we needed to do, we were able to get forms printed off and filled out, obtain a money order (they ddon't take personal checks) and then make a run for the Post Office to ship it with tracking. We chose to pay extra for tracking just to make sure it dind't just SIT  somewhere forgotten . . .  I wrote a cover letter, and included a photo of Miss Katya--and tried to explain just how urgent her situation is. I'm not against trying a little tugging on heart strings when my child's life is at stake!

But more than any thing . . . more than trusting in the strength of my words . . . I am trusting in God's timing--in God's ability to move hearts and speed up paperwork.

Something that was really encouraging?? Someone made a $20.00 donation yesterday to help cover the cost of those particular documents and the shipping costs! How encouaraging that was!

Still praying about the paperwork from the mortgage company. We haven't been given any new updates this week--last week we were told by the locals that they have heard nothing since submitting the requirements to their legal department. We will check again at the beginning of next week to see if people are still remembering that we NEED that piece of paper.

There are still items for sale . . . and we NEED THEM TO SELL! Charity  is still crafting behind the scenes on some lambs that were ordered through our Etsy shop. So even though you aren't seeing new items popping up, we are working, and after a bit, you should be seeing some new things coming. We are praying to God that we'll be able to reach the people who have the need/desire/ability to purchase our items. We don't have a lot of room to store a ton of finished items that havent' sold--not to mention--if there is some where that is a better way to spend our resources for this adoption than spending it on more craft supplies--only to make items that don't sell.  Thanks for letting others know about the items for sale--both in the Etsy shops and on our blog! Someday, Katya will thank you too--once she understands how many people are loving and caring about her right now!
